To be eligible for BSB51319 Diploma of Work Health and Safety, you need to complete five units from BSB41419 Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety. These entry requirement units are needed to enrol into BSB51319 Diploma of Work Health and Safety.

Course Breakdown

BSB51319 Diploma of Work Health and Safety Bundle, requires the completion of 15 units comprising of ten (10) units from the diploma and five (5) pre-requisite units derived from BSB41419 Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety, which are required to be completed first.

All units are included in the price of this course. Pre-requisite units that must be completed first are itemised below listed as Pre-Requisite units, at the end of the course unit description.

These units of competency have been selected in consultation with industry experts, and our facilitators who draw upon real-life case studies and examples to ensure the knowledge you gain is practical and applicable to the industry.

Students will have up to 18 months to complete this full course (15 units) with 6 months being allocated in the completion of the five (5) pre-requisite units.

In this course, students are required to submit audio and/or video projects. Students are required to source their own participants for these tasks.

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to effectively manage Work Health and Safety (WHS) hazards and to comply with WHS laws, as they apply to the management or control of items of plant being maintained and used in a workplace. It requires strong communication skills and systematic approaches to identify, and resolve WHS issues associated with plant. The unit applies to those who provide guidance to others in the workplace in managing WHS hazards associated with plant.
